Brain Sciences

I am starting at the Salk Institute over the summer in Terry Sejnowski’s lab to work on computational representations of the brain.

I am currently with Mengsi Li on her dissertation in emotional temporal coding. Running MVPA and RSA. On the right is an overlay of different masks of brain regions that are relevant (like frontal pole) in FSLeyes.

I am currently very interested in researching the general factor (p factor) of psychopathology, the role of the lateral habenula in psychiatric disorders, and the potential of more advanced neuromodulation techniques like FUS to treat psychiatric disorders.

Partisanship and Policy

I worked with Professor Clayton Nall on the interactions between political partisanship and housing policy ideology. I obtained the voting data from each precinct in the state and measured this property along specific voting measures. To the right is the graph of Los Angeles County’s 2022 Measure ULA, “the mansion tax.”
